Support Services for Children, Young People and Their Families
On the East Coast an interagency partnership between government and non-government agencies exits to provide support services for at risk children, young people and their families/whānau.
The partnership is called Strengthening Families. The partnership includes the schools, the Ngati Porou Hauora, Te Runanga O Ngati Porou, Safer Community Council, Group Special Education of Ministry of Education, Housing NZ Corp, CYF, Police Youth Aid, Community Probation, ACC, IRD Child Support, Internal Affairs, Work & Income, Social Workers in Schools, Gisborne District Council.
