Support Service for Children, Young People and Their Families
In Taupo an interagency partnership between government and non-government agencies exits to provide support services for at risk children, young people and their families/whanau.
The partnership is called Strengthening Families. The partnership includes the schools, the District Council, Tuwharetoa Health Services, Group Special Education, Ministry of Education, Housing NZ Corp, CYF, Police Youth Aid, Community Probation, Principals Association, IRD Child Support, Work & Income and Addiction Resource Centre, Family Start, PAFT Parents as first Teachers, Budget Advice, Public Health Nurse, CAFÉ Contraception and Family Education, Truancy Services, Foodbank, Māori Womens Refuge and Whina Society, Womens Refuge, Taupo Therapy Centre, Community Mental Health, Te Korowai Roopū,Tautoko, Tuwharetoa Social Serivces
