Support Service for Children, Young People and Their Families.
In Taupo/Turangi an interagency partnership between government and non-government agencies exits to provide support services for at risk children, young people and their families/whanau.
The partnership is called Strengthening Families. The partnership includes the schools, the District Council, Tuwharetoa Health Services, Safer Community Councils (Taupo and Turangi/Tongariro), Group Special Education, Ministry of Education, Housing NZ Corp, CYF, Police Youth Aid, Community Probation, Principals Association, IRD Child Support, Work & Income and Addiction Resource Centre.
